It is advisable to have your rug professionally cleaned approximately every 5 – 7 years. Cleaning in this way removes any deep seated grit and dirt that vacuuming alone cannot reach, thereby reducing any abrasive action at the base of the knots and on wool fibres. Furthermore, removal of everyday surface dirt and stains helps restore the rug to its original colours – sometimes the finished results are quite dramatic!

Repairs can be anything from simply securing edges or fringes thereby preventing further erosion, right through to re-weaving holes and damaged areas of pile, e.g. following fire damage. Charges vary depending upon type and size of rug and it’s repair but estimates are free so please do not hesitate to contact us.
